 As we educated students as to the financial aspects of college. It became evident that students needed more than financial literacy for one term or semester. Those same students in addition to others required the same financial education from semester to semester.  The relationship of trust that was gained, evolved into one that extended for their educational career. Throughout that time, students sought to receive guidance, encouragement as well as support in various areas. Those student support services bridged many gaps for student success. As a result, a mentorship was added to The Educational Bridgeway to Success.

Testimony

Although Ugreenal officially created The Educational Bridgeway to Success on December 15, 2021, she began serving many years prior. While I attended Florida A&M University (FAMU), Ugreenal recognized how lost I was in the brand-new world of college in terms of my finances and mentored me throughout my time at FAMU. Ugreenal's mentorship allowed me to complete my undergraduate career completely debt-free. Shortly after I decided I wanted to continue my education at Emory University, which is where Ugreenal then educated me on what type of loans were best for me to take out to ensure that I did not incur significant student loan debt. Now that I’ve finished graduate school, I see how vital Ugreenal’s mentorship has been to my success throughout my educational career, and I too have been inspired to educate students on financial literacy to ensure they’re also able to achieve their goals.
